Library
The library is open to all students, staff and community members who are looking for resources, information and support in finding and accessing materials for both personal and school- related needs.áá We have a vast assortment of books, magazines, reference materials, online databases, digital and e-resources, professional and special collections that are available, as well as the resource of a certified library media specialist who can access and provide whatever you may need.áWe have a robust collection that is fresh and relevant providing for both the curricular and personal-interest needs of our students and staff.

Elementary Library
The elementary library serves our Pre-K to grade 6 student and staff needs.áThe areas of the library include:áa holiday book shelf, a large selection of picture books for our younger students (E fiction shelves) a kindergarten book shelf (especially geared toward beginning-reading decoding skills) an early reader shelf (for our emergent readers) and two early chapter book shelves (for a large selection of beginning chapter books for 2/3 graders).áWe also house a large, up-to-date nonfiction section and a good selection of 4-6 grade fiction, filled with current and classic selections.áá Students are also encouraged to take out both fiction and non-fiction titles.

Elementary Circulation Policy
K through 2nd graders may check out one book each week during library class.áStudent s are free to return their books when they are done and can then check out another, they do not have to wait till the next library class. 3rd grade through 6th grade may take out 2 books and a magazine each week.áStudents are encouraged to enjoy and look forward to checking out their books!áIf a student has an outstanding book, I will let the teacher and parents know, so it can get returned promptly.á

Elementary Grading Policy
Elementary student receive a letterágrade for Library class.áAttitude, readiness for instruction, behaviors/participation and prompt return of materials is considered when their grade is given.áStudents are encouraged to respect the library and its materials.
High School Library
áThe high school library contains a robust collection of fiction and non-fiction titles, over 20 print magazine and newspaper selections, a current and relevant professional collection, a video collection, and a sizeable Adirondack collection, as well as our newly updated/expanded graphic novel collection.áAs well, we have access to numerous educationally relevant databases and online resources.áWe also can inter-library loan materials throughout the NYS library system.ááStudents are free to come in as needed to check out books and to meet/discuss library needs with the librarian.áThe librarian collaborates extensively with the secondary teachers in providing resources for research papers, literary/genre studies and overall- information literacy and proper research skills and citation.á
