The Board of Education Election
will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017

The May 16, 2017 vote will have one board seat on the ballot. áOne trustee seat is available to fill the vacancy caused by the expiration of the term of office of Ms. Christine Campeau, a member of the Board of Education.
The term of office for this trustee seat ends June 30, 2022.

Candidate Petitions are Due in the District Clerk's Office by 5:00 pm on Monday, April 17, 2017

Prospective Board Member Nominating Petition
All candidates for the Board (including incumbents) are required to submit a petition signed by at least 25 qualified district voters. áYou can download the petition here or pick one up in the District Office.

What All Prospective School Board Members Should Know

Candidates for the School Board must: á
  • Be able to read and write
  • Be a qualified voter of the school district (US citizen, at least 18 years of age or older and not adjudged to be incompetent)
  • Be a resident (but need not be a taxpayer) of the district for a continuous and uninterrupted period of at least one year immediately before the election
  • May not have been removed from any school district office within the preceding year
  • May not reside with another member of the same school board as a member of the same family
  • May not be a current employee of the school board
  • May not simultaneously hold another incompatible public office
